Adult Education is responsible for providing basic literacy classes
 and GED preparation classes.

Adult Basic Education (ABE):

     ABE is a program of self-improvement designed to improve basic skills for students whose abilities range from non-literate to pre-college level. Development of reading, writing, and math skills is emphasized. Daytime and evening classes are offered. Early in the GED preparation process, the student is tested  and a individualized program is developed to prepare the student for the GED exam. Individualized and small group instruction is provided.  Students without a high school diploma have the opportunity to prepare for the GED exam.

      The GED test provides the opportunity for those who have not graduated from high school to get a High School Equivalency Certificate. Reading, math, science, social studies, and writing skills (grammar and a written essay) are covered.
